It’s an excellent moment to be part of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s team. The Oklahoma City Thunder’s standout player celebrated receiving the MVP title by giving his teammates a luxurious gift.

Shai has secured the title of Most Valuable Player for the 2024-2025 NBA season. To commemorate this milestone, he gifted everyone on his team Rolex watches.

Recently, a clip went viral featuring his teammates showcasing their extravagant presents while Gilgeous-Alexander beamed with joy in the background.

However, this wasn’t the sole reaction to his MVP award.

Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo expressed his astonishment at the news, humorously questioning whether the ESPN analyst Sham Charania’s account had been compromised. Additionally, Shai’s victory came at the expense of prominent contenders like Nikola Jokic and Giannis himself.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Aims For An NBA Championship

Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is on top of the world after being named the latest NBA MVP. He joins an elite circle that includes legends like Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Shai recently expressed his enthusiasm but emphasized that his main ambition lies elsewhere. While earning the Most Valuable Player accolade is exhilarating, his focus remains on securing an NBA championship.

This is something both Durant and Westbrook were unable to accomplish during their tenure in Oklahoma City.

His MVP recognition is justified, stemming from a spectacular 2024-25 season where he led the league in scoring, doing so with remarkable efficiency.

His outstanding contributions were vital in steering the Thunder to an impressive 68-win season, securing them the top seed in the Western Conference. This determination distinguished him from other MVP contenders like Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

With the MVP title and a scoring crown now under his belt, Shai is looking ahead. When asked what his next move is following this achievement, he reiterated what has always motivated him: the pursuit of winning.
