Kelsey Plum, a standout for the Los Angeles Sparks, seemed to take aim at Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark following the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game held on Saturday night.
In the lead-up to the game, Plum and her Team Collier teammates wore shirts featuring a message advocating for better pay for players in the league.
Plum observed that Team Clark did not participate in this demonstration. After the game, she elaborated on the purpose behind the shirts, making a pointed remark about Team Clark.
“It was a very powerful moment. As players, we didn’t know that was going to happen. It was a genuine surprise. The decision on the shirt happened this morning. Not to tattletale: 0 members of Team Clark were very involved in that,” Plum stated.

What’s next for Kelsey Plum and the Sparks
Kelsey Plum’s comments after the All-Star Game emphasize the urgency for increased compensation for WNBA players.
With the upcoming improvements in the WNBA’s collective bargaining agreement, players are expected to see salary growth as the league gains even more traction. While it will take sustained effort beyond just Caitlin Clark’s involvement, their goals remain critical for the future.
As for Plum, she will refocus on her duties with the Sparks, who currently sit at 8-14 in the season standings, occupying the sixth position in the Western Conference. They trail the Golden State Valkyries by two games and the Las Vegas Aces by three games.
Looking ahead, the Sparks are slated to face the Washington Mystics on July 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET in an away game.
