Damian Lillard was out for the Milwaukee Bucks’ last regular-season matches due to a blood clot in his right calf and also missed the first game of their playoff series. He made his return in Game 2, following a passionate message aimed at the Indiana Pacers after Game 1.

However, the Bucks star soon found himself facing another injury concern. NBA insider Chris Haynes subsequently reported that the team is worried Lillard may have sustained an Achilles injury.

Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard will not return tonight against the Indiana Pacers, league sources tell me. Injury potentially severe,” Haynes posted on X.

The injury took place early in the first quarter while Lillard attempted to position himself for a chase down of an offensive rebound. Almost immediately, he was unable to bear weight on his left leg.

The Bucks’ medical staff rushed to the court. Lillard needed assistance to leave the game and could not return. This event cast a significant shadow over Milwaukee’s evening as they now face the threat of elimination, with Indiana leading the series 3-1.

Fans Flood Social Media With Messages Of Support For Damian Lillard

As word of Damian Lillard’s injury spread, fans took to social media to express their support and concern. Many voiced their sadness at the thought that one of the NBA’s most admired competitors could be facing an extended recovery.

One fan shared their fears, stating, “Tough news, man… If it’s an Achilles tear, we might not see Dame for a long time. Wishing him a strong comeback.”

Another fan simply voiced their prayers, commenting, “Praying for my dude.”

Many acknowledged Lillard’s fierce competitive nature, with one fan stating, “Damn this isn’t good, dude’s just a competitor and wants to win. Rough road ahead of him, hopefully he can come back from it.

Prayer up to Dame,” another fan expressed.

Get well soon 👊❤️,” one comment read.

If examinations confirm that Damian Lillard has indeed torn his Achilles tendon, the implications could be dire. Recovering from such an injury typically requires a year or more, which would likely keep Lillard sidelined for the entirety of the 2025-26 NBA season.
