While the players might not admit it, many observers would likely concur that the current season is primarily a rebuilding phase for the Cleveland Browns. Myles Garrett may claim he “expects to get to the Super Bowl,” but the likelihood of the Browns making that happen by February 2026 is exceedingly low, particularly without a clear starting quarterback in sight.
If the Browns endure another lackluster season after last year’s mere three wins, it could spell the end of head coach Kevin Stefanski’s tenure in Cleveland. Unless the team can secure a standout QB, they may find themselves searching for a new leader at the position next offseason, despite having brought in four new players at that spot since last year.
Colin Cowherd has indicated that the Browns might be setting their sights on a future dynamic duo of head coach Nick Saban and quarterback Arch Manning in 2026.

“This is not a conspiracy theory… this story is a poorly kept secret. The Mannings, Haslem, Jimmy Sexton, Nick Saban”

However, Cowherd’s claims should be met with skepticism, as Manning has not suggested he plans to enter the 2026 NFL Draft after just one full season as the starting QB for the Texas Longhorns. Moreover, if the Browns are already considering coaching changes, it might be wise for Stefanski to start looking for a new residence, as it suggests the organization is anticipating his downfall.
That said, the thought of uniting Coach Saban with the latest Manning heir is certainly intriguing. In essence, it seems plausible that an NFL owner like Jimmy Haslam would be keen on crafting a vision for a brighter future.
